At a glance

What this page covers

Seven sections, in the order you will meet them on the page. Nothing here is a summary of the whole site: it concerns personal data only.

  1. Data we collect Your input
  2. Why we collect it Purpose
  3. Cookies and analytics Browser side
  4. Retention Time limits
  5. Your rights Access, fix, delete
  6. Third parties Service providers
  7. Contact Questions

Section one is where the paperwork actually starts.

The short version

One request route, no accounts, no shop

Tranvo Delivery is read, not logged into. There is no sign-up, no member profile, no cart and no checkout anywhere on the site, so the personal data that reaches us is narrow by design and arrives only when a visitor chooses to write.

Two ways data arrives

Voluntary
What you type into the contact form: name, email address, message.
Automatic
Standard server logs kept by the hosting environment while the site runs.
Not collected
No payment details, no delivery address, no dining account of any kind.
Not sold
Personal data is not traded, rented or handed to advertisers.

Data we collect

What reaches us

From the contact form

When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, and message content you provide. That is the whole submission: three fields, nothing hidden behind them.

We do not ask for a street address or a phone number to reply, and nothing in the form is mandatory except the email address, which is how the reply reaches you.

From ordinary site operation

Standard server logs may record IP address, browser type, and pages visited as part of normal site operation. These records exist so the site loads correctly and so a broken page can be traced back to a cause.

No profile is assembled from those logs. They are read in aggregate when diagnosing a fault, and a single visit is not tied to a name unless that same person has written to us.

Also worth saying plainly

We do not use the site to build marketing profiles of readers, and no data collected here describes what you eat, where you dine, or which chains you order from. If you write about a delivery experience at a chain such as Miller's Ale House or any other restaurant, that detail sits in the message you chose to send. It is used for the reply, not for advertising.

Why

Why we collect it

Two reasons, and they are not interchangeable. One is a reply to you. The other is keeping the site online.

Answering your message

Contact form data is used to respond to your message and, where it concerns a factual correction, to update the relevant page. If you point out that a chain profile has the wrong location or the wrong note about a happy-hour window, that correction is why the page gets edited.

Keeping the site working

Server logs are used to keep the site working and to diagnose technical problems. When a page fails to load on one browser and not another, the log is the only record that shows it happened at all.

No secondary use

A message is not added to a mailing list, and it is not set aside to sell advertising against later. It stays in the inbox until it is answered and closed.

Editorial independence

Because nothing is collected to profile readers, articles about chains are written the same way whether a reader has contacted us before or not.

Cookies and analytics

The site may use cookies for basic functionality and, where enabled, analytics. See the Cookie Policy for details on categories and how to control them in your browser.

Functionality cookies are the ones that keep a page behaving the way it should while you read. Analytics, where it is switched on, tells us which guides get read and which sections get abandoned halfway, so the next revision can fix the weak part rather than guess at it.

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, and you can set that per site. Turning them off will not lock you out of anything here, because nothing on the site depends on recognising you between visits.

Categories you may see

  • Functionality

Keeps the site stable while you move between guide pages.

  • Analytics

Read in aggregate to see which sections are useful and which are skipped.

  • Advertising

Not used by us to build reader profiles. Check the Cookie Policy for what is and is not active.

Retention
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up, after which they are removed in the ordinary course of inbox maintenance. A correction that changed a published page may be noted in the edit history, without your email address attached.
Server logs
Server logs are retained for a limited operational period, long enough to investigate a fault reported soon after it happens, then rotated out as part of routine hosting practice.
Your call
If you would rather a message be deleted sooner, say so when you write, or send a deletion request afterwards to info@tranvo.delivery and we will remove it once the reply is no longer needed.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data you submitted. Send requests to info@tranvo.delivery. We will respond within a reasonable period.

Access

Ask what is held about you and receive a copy of the message you sent, with the original wording intact.

Correction

If your name or email address was recorded wrongly, tell us what should change and it will be amended.

Deletion

Ask for the correspondence to be removed and it will be deleted, unless it is still needed to finish an open reply.

Write the request in your own words. That is enough.

Third parties

The list is short on purpose. Two kinds of provider, one job each.

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by service providers that host the site or deliver email, strictly for those purposes.

  • Hosting Serves the pages and keeps the server logs described above. Sees traffic, not the content of a message you have not sent yet.
  • Email delivery Carries contact form messages into the inbox and carries replies back out. Handles the message contents only in transit.
  • Out of scope Restaurant chains named in articles are written about, not partnered with. Clicking through to a chain or a delivery app takes you to that company's own site and its own policy.

Contact

Questions about this policy: info@tranvo.delivery, or Olive 8, 1615 8th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101, USA.

Requests are read Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. If your question is about a guide rather than the policy, use the contact page so it lands in the same inbox we already check for corrections.

Also on the record

That is the whole policy. If something here is unclear, write to info@tranvo.delivery and we will put it in plainer English.
